Google.com
Google primarily provides search and advertising services, which together aim to organize and monetize the world’s information. In addition to its dominant search engine, it offers a plethora of tools and platforms including its more popular products: Gmail, Maps and YouTube.
Most of its Web-based products are free because Google makes its money from highly integrated online advertising through its
AdWords and
AdSense platforms.
Google promotes the idea that advertising should be highly targeted and relevant to users thus providing them with a rich source of information.
Adwords display your ads on Google and their advertising network. Connect with potential customers at the magic moment they're searching for your products or services, and only pay when people click your ads.
AdSense is an ad serving application run by Google. Website owners can enroll in the program to enable text, image, and more recently, video advertisements on their websites. These advertisements are administered by Google and generate revenue on either a per-click or per-impression basis.
Google also offers an
AdSense for feeds product that allows publishers to earn money from their RSS feeds with contextually and placement-targeted ads.
