What is Builderscrap?

BuilderScrap, an online builders' exchange for builders' surplus. BuilderScrap is completely free to use and can be used to pass on leftover building supplies or materials and also find fantastic, low cost or free building materials in your area.

By using BuilderScrap to pass on and recyle unused materials, you can save on skip costs and reduce the construction waste that you are sending to landfill.

BuilderScrap can be used to dispose of surplus building materials as well as good quality second hand goods. It is up to you whether you want to charge for these goods, or pass them on for free rather than paying for them to go to landfill.

DEFRA statistics show that over 90 million tonnes of construction and demolition waste is produced every year in England and Wales, making up approximately 25% of total waste. At least 13 million tonnes of this refuse is said to be surplus, new material; most of which could be reused, and a further large proportion is second hand product which could also potentially be reused, or recycled.
